Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)Payment & Pricing Questions
Editing Questions
Yes, this service costs money. For details, please see our pricing page. Do I have to pay before you return my document? All clients are required to pay upfront, through PayPal. We can tell you how much your job will cost and you can make payment in advance to ensure that you don't miss your deadline. How do I calculate the word count of my document? Do I count the references and bibliography? We use the 'Word Count' function in Microsoft Word. In Word 2007 it is: Review -> Word Count. In earlier versions it is Tools menu -> Word Count. The word count is taken from the document as you send it to us, not the word count after editing. We count references and bibliography because we also edit your references and bibliography to make sure they are consistent. If you do not want us to edit your bibliography then you must state so when submitting your document to make sure we do not count it in the word count when we price your document. Do you write assignments for students? No. We are not an assignment writing service and we do not do any research for you or provide you with new content. You must complete the research and write your content first, before sending it to us for editing. If you get someone else to write your assignment and you hand it in as your own work, you must be aware that you are committing an act of plagiarism and can be kicked out of your university, college or school. If you are an international student, you also risk losing your visa. Having someone else write your assignment constitutes cheating. Our service can help you to pass or get a great grade, but you need to write the content yourself first. If you are concerned about plagiarism check with your professor or look up the official plagiarism policy at your university. Do you edit content that is copied from other sources? No. If you copy content directly from another source, this is classed as plagiarism. It against our policy to reword plagiarized content. Instead, you should take the content and use it as inspiration or research to create your own words or back up your essay argument. Once you have done this, you can send this material to us, and we will be happy to edit it. Is your service cheating? Has anyone been in trouble for using your service? No. We have never heard of any student getting into trouble with a lecturer, tutor or university for using our service. In fact, the person who marks your assignment will often be appreciative of proofreading and may even recommend you use our service. You should be graded on your content, critical thinking and research abilities, and not hindered by your written English skills. Our service helps you to present your ideas clearly so that you can be graded for your understanding of the subject, not on your written English. If you are concerned about plagiarism check with your professor about professional proofreading or look up the official plagiarism policy at your university. Should I send through materials such as a criteria sheet, supporting articles or other supplementary materials?Yes, by all means, especially if the material provides guidelines on referencing and word counts. Make sure you tell us which documents are to be edited and which are supplementary materials only and not to be edited. Do you provide feedback on the technical aspects of my assignment?Yes and no. We cannot tell you whether you have answered a question correctly or whether your argument is sound. This would be plagiarism on your part since your content would not be your own. We are very careful regarding this point because universities have very strict rules regarding assignment originality. What we can do, however, is work on any technical aspects of your writing such as the structure of your argument, how you develop your points and how you explain concepts, as well as grammar. We also provide you with written feedback to explain any changes made and help you to improve your work for next time. Will you revise my document if I am not happy with your editing the first time?In 99% of cases, clients are pleased with our work the first time. However, we are very happy to revise or clarify any part of our work. We provide revisions at no extra charge , so long as they are within the boundaries of the original project. If you request additional work on new content or a change of formatting to that which was first requested, there may be an additional charge. Additional charges are at the discretion of the editor, but bear in mind that you will always be informed of any additional charges before we begin work.
